Christmas Project at Jamestown and Bukom- Dec 20 2015
The distribution of the hampers and bags of used clothing took place on 20th December, 2015 at Jamestown (Bukom), one of the oldest districts located east of the Korle Lagoon, and Korle Gonno, where the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, which is Ghana’s premier healthcare facility is located. The main occupation the two communities is fishing. In all, ten (10) hampers, bags of used clothing comprising women and children wear, shoes and an amount of GHC 20 or frozen chicken. Families who were beneficiaries mostly comprised single mothers and widows. A total of three women were given a bag of rice (10kg), a bottle of vegetable oil and GHC 20.
