Campaign on Neonatal Jaundice at Hope Presby Church, Sakumono – Jul 05 2016

The Smile on Faces Foundation as part of its campaign against neonatal jaundice organised an awareness programme at the Hope Presbyterian Church, Sakumono in July, 2016 to educate the young couples wing of the church on neonatal jaundice. Dr. Genevive Insaidoo, a medical practitioner of the Child Health Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra educated the women on the causes and treatment of neonatal jaundice. According to Dr. Insaidoo, the condition if treated early can reduce mortality and other sequel as a result of the condition in-neonates. She advised the couples to educate other members of the church with the knowledge they have gained.
